Over the years, poultry farmers have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and determination in navigating the turbulence within our industry. Yet, despite being valued at over a trillion naira and contributing significantly to Nigeria’s GDP, our sector still operates without the strong structures needed to guarantee continuity, profitability, and sustainability.
The poultry industry is one of the longest value chains in agribusiness—employing thousands of women and youth, providing food security, and aligning with most of the SDGs. Hatchery operators, feed millers, input suppliers, vaccine and drug producers, equipment manufacturers, and grain merchants all depend on poultry. But the truth is clear: no part of the value chain can survive in isolation.
Your success depends on my success; my strength depends on yours. Alone, we struggle. Together, we thrive. It is time to come together. The Poultry Stakeholders Forum will convene all value chain players—farmers, suppliers, investors, and policymakers—to chart a new direction for the industry.
